Pop Art Jimi Hendrix
This Jimi Hendrix artwork has been created by Belgian artist John Mettepenningen.
A shy and intensely thoughtful person, music was Jimi Hendrix’ way of talking. His lyrics tell personal stories of love and heartbreak, of his childhood and struggles. And they also tell the story of the times Hendrix lived in - deeply rooted in the blues tradition, they express the pain suffered by an entire people treated unjustly. Hendrix is widely regarded as the one of the world's most creative electric guitar player in rock and roll, influencing and informing countless musicians in the years following his death in 1967 when he was just 27 years of age.
